Phoenix Area

White Tank Regional Campground

We had some issues with our heat, during our trip in Joshua Tree that needed to be addressed when we got to Arizona. We stopped along the way at a Walmart and purchased the Little Buddy Jr.  which for our 16ft rig was perfect. I highly recommend having one on hand if you’re traveling in the colder months.

With reservations in Phoenix for the Airstream repair we stopped at the White Tank regional campground, which is an easy distance from here. This is a beautiful park, friendly management and clean well maintained dump stations located at the entrances as there are no full hookup sites. We were greeted by a couple coyotes, who are plentiful in the area. Like any regional park in AZ we have encountered this one was terrific. Be aware though that this is a popular location, and reservation during the busy months are tough to get. We got lucky and grabbed a spot for one night.  We only had time for one short hike accessible though from our campsite, however there are over 30 miles of nicely maintained hikes in this park to explore.
